This allows easy automated input into any SPC or other data collection software. FlexCable supports over 400 different gage manufacturers (see list of supported gages below).

With the FlexCable's flexibility, you can collect data from any device, including gages, calipers, micrometers, indicators, torque wrenches, hardness testors, height gages, temperature gages, pressure sensors, scales, and instruments.

FlexCable is ready to collect data right out of the box - no software to set-up. Simply plug and play. No external power supply is necessary - power is drawn from the PC or PLC serial port and most Mitutoyo-compatible systems, making it ideal for portable data collection.

FlexCable can be configured to operate in static mode (instant or Normal reading), or dynamic mode (MIN, MAX, TIR readings). The input channel can be individually controlled - triggered externally by the gage's SEND button, foot switch or simple host commands.

• Power Requirements -- draws power from any one of the following:
  1) RS-232 PC port or PLC port
  2) Mitutoyo-compatible system
  3) external 9V DC power supply

  With 2 string formats, where <CR> refers to carriage return and <LF> refers to line feed:

• Modes of Operation:
  1) Static (Normal = NRM) mode operation.
  2) Dynamic (MIN, MAX, or TIR) mode operation.
  3) Foot switch may operate in Normal or Global mode operation.
  4) Select mode operation using externally accessible DIP switches.
  
  
• Foot Switch: External foot switch jack for remote triggering of gage reading.
  
  
• LED Indicator:
  Indicates power on reset or data sent.
